About the ECC

The European Christian Coalition wants to promote Christian values and implement them in practical politics.

We aim to respect and protect human dignity as is stated in Article 1 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. We believe this universal principle rests on the human being as created in the image and likeness of God.

The ECC recognizes the Christian roots of EU member states and believes that there is value in this heritage. Key aspects of this Christian cultural inheritance also stand at the foundation of the European Union, namely freedom, solidarity, reconciliation, love, truth and respect for life.

Our concerns:

The ECC is concerned with the situation of Christians in the world today as Christianity comprises the most persecuted religion in the world.

The ECC wants to promote an economic policy that is people-centered and not financially centered and applies the potential of technology by respecting human dignity.

We recognize the family as the most important social entity, as it is the basis for thriving societies.

The ECC observes, in particular in its programme and in its activities, the values on which the European Union is founded, as expressed in Article 2 TEU, namely respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights.
